Fort courage

Been chasing the elusive Murray Cod, or maybe you have been tormenting the Trout. How did you go?

Fort courage

The long weekend in march I normally would go to fort courage with a crew of 30 to chase some fish but with the current darling conditions I opted to got to timberlake fishint tournament. I'm glad I did as I go the report from the other crew today, the new dirty water you would think help the bait gurus but this was not the case. After 5 days and a dozen boats hitting the water there was only one fish landed and this was only a carp. Unbaleivable in my book of fishing that with all that work only one bite was seen. The boys hit the outlet regulater for a day and were rewarded with some yella's but majority of roads are closed due to rain so it is extremely hard to get in. If you want to head out that way fishing I would be waiting atleast a couple of months hoping is settles down a lot :( :( :?:

Only got small ones on the cast. Picked up my first cod on the surface and missing another solid one too. Pretty hard fishing for cod that have seen every lure in the bag and fished all year round. Good fun and picked up a few tips of the guru's too. Vass did you pick up any more on the sunday arvo?????????????????????

I just got back from the trip to Fort Courage. As TL said, could not even get a bite in the Murray. I took the boat to the Lake Victoria outlet regulator on the last three days and some of us bagged out on yellas, getting them both at the regulator and further down the Rufus among the snags. Average size 1kg and up to 1.5 kg. There was too much water flowing down the Frenchmans Creek to try the inlet regulator.
